Well, it's gonna be quite a bit to mention:)
First of all, the month I got pregnant was the one when me and my future husband started a membership in a gym. A very nive and big one, by the way. I was so excited about getting into shape and having something fun and useful for two of us to do together through the cold, boring, and endless winter in Chicago. The gym had a pool, a jacuzzi and a steam room. Not to mention a huge area with the machines and free weights, a dancing studio, a beauty and spa salon, a smoothie bar, a mini sports gear store and huge changing rooms with shower cabins. Well, we would go there probably 3-4 times a week usually at night, like after 11 p.m. since we both are late night owls. Once we actually went to the gym at 2 in the morning and stayed there till 5.30 a.m. That's how crazy we were. First couple hours we would spend working with the machines, stretching (me), lifting free weights (Mike). Then we would go to the pool to swim for a lil and we will end up in a hot tub chilling and relaxing. The hours were perfect to enjoy the company of each other since usually there were no or almost no people there. With our membership we also got one trial class with a private instructor. I should say he made me sweat so bad! It was one of the most intense work outs in my life (and I am pretty experienced at it). My instructor concluded though that I was in a perfect shape and with no extra body fat - pretty good news. How on earth could I get pregnant and keep the baby in my womb going through all of that physical exertion?! Well, what is meant to be is meant to be I guess)) Should I say I had to freeze my membership at the gym after the big news))) I like sweating and pushing my limits when I work out. So, since I had to put that off for a long while I just didn't see any point of going to the gym. I know swimming is good for you, but I am not a fan of it. I can swim for 10 minutes, but then I get bored. I figured I'd better just do some yoga or pilates at home whenever I feel like and save that money I had to pay each month for my memebership.

If all the calculations are correct I got pregnant somewhere in the beginning of December. And I should admit it wasn't actually a very good month for that considering all the holidays. I've never been a drunker but I did work at the bar and people did buy me shots. Occasionally I did take them. Plus I got pretty tipsy on Christmas and New Year since we went out. I found out I was pregnant on orthodox Christmas January,6 right after I had a dinner with my friends with some wine and champagne. Awesome! After I heard the news I had alcohol just twice: half a glass of wine at the end of my first trimester and half a bottle of a cider at the beginning of my third trimester. And both times I felt terribly guilty, but I needed it soooooo bad.
Work was the only place where I tended to forget I was pregnant at all. First of January, not aware yet of my pregnancy, I had the craziest day of the year at work. New Year's Day is when my bar is traditionally hosting a party of 200 or 300 people that drink like horses, do drugs in the restroom, and then drink even more. It was the first time I was bartending on such a busy day. I feel like I became a professional overnight, since I've learnt how to hold and pour 4 drinks at a time. It was a constant ultimate stress for 12 or so hours. Obviously, the baby didn't mind that. Then I had a 16-hour shift on St.Patrick's with the relevant level of insanity, in fact even longer lasting. Then once I worked Saturday night 6 p.m. till 4 a.m. and had to be back at work next day at 11 a.m. and work till 7 p.m. or so. But the girl who was supposed to come and work the second half of the day didn't show up and I ended up staying till almost 10. It was also a memorial weekend and somewhere after 4 we got slammed. I was serving running around like crazy (being already past 6 months pregnant), having tables all over the place. At some point my only bartender got so busy that I had to make my own drinks as well. I was carrying around a huge tray full of glasses and bottles with booze. Thank God, a bartender from the previous shift stayed and helped us out running food. Eventually after 9 another server showed up. I closed out all of my tabs and left pissed out and tired as hell. But I made bank that night and was extremely proud of myself later. My fiance rubbed my feet at home and fed me a delicious dinner. My day was fixed. Next time I came to work my gm apologized to me in person and everyone was complimenting me on a fantastic job. Pretty flattering I should say.
The beginning of February me and the girls had a trip planned. We were going to Orlando for 3 days. The flight tickets were super cheap and we found an awesome hotel on groupon for $60 a night for a two bedroom villa accommodating 4 people. Of course, my pregnancy didn't stop me. I had a pretty annoying all day sickness and fatigue, but other than that I felt okay. So we went. I didn't regret any of it. We had a fantastic time there. The flight was okay, I didn't feel any extra nausea or smth. I was getting tired pretty fast, but all the fun we had was a good compensation. We went to the Universal Studio and The Island of Adventure. I love roller coasters. This time I had to skip the craziest ones. But I did ride a little one and I didn't miss any of the 3D rides. Some of them were pretty shaky, but who cares, I felt great. I even went on the Harry Potter ride where they do turn you upside down a couple times, but it didn't feel uncomfortable. As long as I wasn't scared or stressed my doctor said I would be okay. And I was. I love amusement parks and all these rides bring me fun and joy, unless it's something extremely insane. We were joking after that this baby will be a spaceman. Who knows)

My friend had an open class at her school of pole dancing. She could invite any friend and, of course, she invited me. My bump wasn't really showing yet. It looked more like I just had a good dinner. I felt great as well and had so much energy. We told the instructor I was pregnant just in case, but everything went smooth. It was my second time at that dancing studio and I absolutely love the atmosphere there. The dim light, the music, the girls feeling sexy and beautiful. It makes you relax and let your body speak up, it reveals so much of your sexual energy, you will be surprised. During the warm up I was trying to skip the exercises for the abs, but other than that there was nothing challenging. And I loved the spinning. It teaches you to control your whole body while holding tight to your pole. The class gave me a good energy kick. We had so much fun!! The baby wasn't complaining as well)))
When I hit my 6 months we took a car trip with my friend to Cincinnati, Ohio. It's a 6 hour ride from Chicago. We have many friends living there as well as many memories buried. It was a fun trip. The only downside, I missed my man soooooo bad. I had a comfy pillow under my back and we made many stops to take a pee. But other than that the trip was pretty casual and I didn't feel like I am pushing myself over the limits.

Pregnancy is not an illness. Yes, you have to be more attentive to your body and your baby. But it doesn't mean you have to stop enjoying life and having fun. Just stay wise and take it easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
